Donations to feed our healthcare providers who are most impacted by COVID-19
Meals4Healers, bagged and ready to go.

Many people have asked how to contribute and purchase meals for healthcare providers (HCPs) who are most impacted by COVID-19 on the frontline. In an effort to show gratitude to HCPs and support local restaurants, we are piloting a food delivery initiative with house staff who are home in isolation as well as those who are displaced due to COVID-19.

One donation of $20 will cover one (1) fixed nutritious meal to these residents. This donation will cover the cost of a fixed meal, delivery, and tip. We are working with Tavern on State and Roia in this initiative. We launched on March 28 and delivered over 1,000 meals by the end of May. We’ve now relaunched the program in response to the current surge.

Please visit Yale's giving page to donate. And, thank you for your generous and thoughtful offering as we look after our Yale and New Haven community. #WeAreAllinThisTogether

Claudia-Santi F. Fernandes, an associate research scientist in General Internal Medicine, is spearheading this initiative to deliver meals and may be contacted at with questions.

Dear Meals4Healers: During these difficult times, after a whole day of taking care of sick patients, I can't come back home to my family, some days are unbearable. Receiving meals from you is the best thing that happened to me since the beginning of this pandemic. I found a touch of beautiful kindness in the midst of disastrous circumstances. I want you to know that what you do is greatly appreciated and much much needed. You are fueling fighters, therefore you are fighting with us. Thank you very much, each and every one of you. God Bless You.

Oh my, we didn't expect so much food! Thank you so much for organizing this and delivering to us. Huge morale boost after a rough week!!
